Getting Started

Access requirements

Kakapo is currently invite-only. To create an account, you need an invitation code.

If you do not have a code:

1. Request one here.
2. Submit your name and email.
3. If approved, you will receive an invitation code by email.

Sign up

Invite codes are required for email + password signup. For social signup, use the same email address that was approved for an invite.

Email + password signup

1. Go to Sign Up.
2. Enter your email and invitation code.
3. Choose a password and confirm it.
4. Submit the form.
5. Check your email to confirm the signup.

Social signup

1. Go to Sign Up.
2. Continue with Google or GitHub.
3. Use the social account that matches the email address you requested the invite with.

Sign in

1. Go to Sign In.
2. Enter your email and password.
3. Optionally sign in with Google or GitHub.

If you start social sign-in and an account already exists with your email, you will be prompted to sign in and link the provider.

Password reset

• Forgot password: Use the forgot password option.
• Set a new password: follow the link in the email.
• Set a password for a social login account: use the set password option on the Profile page.

First-time flow

After signing in:

• You land on the bots dashboard.
• If you have no bots, click Create new Chatbot to get started.
• After creation, you will be taken to your bot configuration area.
